Accountant 1

About This Role:

Veranex has an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Accountant. As a member of the Finance department, you will be part of a team working to improve lives globally through medical technology innovation.

As Accountant you will impact the success of the organization by Ensures compliance with accounting standards, applicable regulatory requirements, and company policies. Implements and maintains internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial reporting. Assists in the implementation of best practices and new accounting technologies.

What You Will Do:

Primary Responsibilities:

Assists with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and accruals.
Performs reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
Identifies and resolves discrepancies in financial records.
Assists in the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
Assists in the preparation of financial reports and summaries for management review.
Adheres to accounting principles, internal controls, and company policies.
Identifies opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in accounting procedures.

Qualifications:

Required skills:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
1–3 years of relevant work experience.
Basic proficiency in accounting software and applications (e.g., Excel).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions and reports.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Receives occasional guidance on day-to-day work and moderate guidance on new projects or assignments.
Works on routine problems of moderate scope, exercising judgment following standard practices and procedures.

Service or consulting industry experience
