What you’ll do
JD for Manager Accounts (Direct and Indirect Tax)

Key Responsibilities

A. Taxation ( Direct & Indirect)

Direct Tax (Income Tax, TDS):
Ensure timely and accurate computation, payment, and filing of TDS returns and Income Tax returns.
Prepare and review tax provisions and deferred tax calculations.
Manage tax assessments, audits, and notices from authorities.
Indirect Tax (GST, Customs, etc.):
Oversee timely GST computation, payment, and return filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, Annual Return).
Handle GST reconciliations (GSTR-2B vs Books) and resolve mismatches.
Support in GST audits and respond to departmental queries.
Monitor changes in tax laws and ensure compliance.

B. Accounting

Supervise day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
Review journal entries, reconciliations, and provisions.
Monitor and ensure proper classification of income/expenses.

C. MIS & Reporting

Prepare and circulate periodic MIS reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Tax Reports, Expense Analysis, Variance Reports).
Provide actionable insights based on MIS for management decision-making.

D. Coordination & Support

Liaise with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and tax consultants.
Coordinate with other departments for tax and accounting-related requirements.
Assist in financial planning, budgeting, and cost control initiatives.

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of Direct and Indirect Tax Laws.
Sound understanding of Accounting Standards (Ind AS/IGAAP).
Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle Fusion/SAP preferred).
Advanced Excel skills and experience in MIS reporting.
Analytical, detail-oriented, and deadline-focused.
