What you’ll do
Position Summary

We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Regional Head Business Development to lead growth initiatives in the ash disposal segment for thermal power plants. The role will focus on securing contracts, expanding market presence, and building long-term partnerships with key stakeholders in the power sector. The ideal candidate will leverage a strong industry network, in-depth market knowledge, and proven business development expertise to deliver sustainable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

Identify, qualify, and engage potential clients within the thermal power plant sector.
Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to expand market share in ash disposal.
Drive proactive lead generation through networking, market research, and industry forums.
Build, strengthen, and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at thermal power plants.
Manage the end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting to contract closure.
Prepare compelling proposals, bids, and tender responses; negotiate favorable contract terms.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of thermal power plants including contacts, capacity, ash production, and disposal requirements.
Contract Management

Ensure all contracts comply with legal, regulatory, and company standards.
Oversee the full contract lifecycle, including execution, renewals, and modifications.
Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to contract performance.
Market Intelligence & Strategy

Continuously monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.
Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Identify risks, opportunities, and potential partnerships in the market.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline (Master’s/MBA preferred).
15+ years of proven business development experience, preferably in the thermal power plant or ash disposal sector.
Deep understanding of ash disposal processes, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
Extensive network and client database within the thermal power sector.
Strong negotiation, closing, and contract management skills.
Demonstrated success in winning and managing large-scale contracts.
Proficiency in CRM and business development tools.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned region.
