1. *Inventory Management*
Maintain optimum stock levels (avoid overstocking / stock outs).
Monitor slow-moving and fast-moving items.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of materials.
2. *Procurement & Replenishment*
Raise purchase requisitions as per requirement.
Follow up with vendors / purchase department for timely supply.
Ensure materials are received as per specifications & quality.
3. *Stock Verification & Control*
Conduct regular cycle counts and physical stock verification.
Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
Maintain accurate stock records in ERP/system.
4. *Compliance & Documentation*
Maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Note), issue slips, gate pass, return notes.
Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory & safety norms.
Audit readiness proper records for inspection.
5. *Material Issuance & Return*
Issue materials to production/operations against proper authorization.
Track return of unused material.
Avoid misuse or unauthorized issue.
6. *Safety*
Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of materials.
Follow fire safety, PPE, and hazardous material guidelines.
Keep the store area clean, organized, and secure.
7. *Team Supervision*
Allocate daily tasks to store staff.
Train and monitor store assistants/helpers.
Ensure discipline and productivity in the store team.
8. *Reporting & Coordination*
Submit daily/weekly/monthly stock reports.
Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Accounts, and Quality teams.
Highlight shortages, damages, or non-moving items to management.
9. *Cost & Loss Control*
Minimize material wastage and pilferage.
Implement *FIFO/LIFO* as per requirement.
Control expenses related to handling, transportation, and storage.
10. *System & Process Management*
Update entries in ERP/Inventory management software.
Ensure barcode/QR code/scanner usage if applicable.
Improve processes for efficiency and accuracy.
