BDM (Business Development Manager)
Business Development Manager (BDM) – Upwork & LinkedIn Specialist
Location: Remote (Flexible, but preference for candidates available during [mention relevant time zones if applicable, e.g., US business hours for client interaction])
Key Responsibilities:
Upwork Management:
Actively monitor and bid on relevant projects on Upwork, crafting compelling proposals that highlight our expertise and value proposition.
Proactively identify and engage with potential clients on Upwork, building rapport and understanding their needs.
Manage the end-to-end sales cycle on Upwork, from initial contact to proposal submission, negotiation, and contract closure.
Maintain a high success rate on Upwork, securing new projects and fostering long-term client relationships.
Ensure all Upwork profiles and proposals are optimized for maximum visibility and impact.
LinkedIn Lead Generation & Nurturing:
Develop and execute a comprehensive LinkedIn strategy to identify and connect with target prospects (e.g., CEOs, CTOs, IT Directors, Product Managers) in relevant industries.
Craft personalized outreach messages and InMail campaigns to initiate conversations and generate qualified leads.
Actively participate in relevant LinkedIn groups and discussions to build brand awareness and establish thought leadership.
Nurture leads through consistent follow-up, providing valuable content and insights related to our services.
Leverage LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other tools to optimize lead generation efforts.
Sales & Client Relationship Management:
Conduct discovery calls and virtual meetings to understand client requirements, challenges, and goals.
Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
Negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships, ensuring high client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
Collaborate closely with our technical and project management teams to ensure seamless project delivery and client success.
Market Research & Strategy:
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market demands, and competitor activities in the IT services landscape.
Contribute to the development of sales strategies and new service offerings based on market insights.
Track and report on sales performance metrics, providing regular updates to management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of proven business development/sales experience in the IT services industry.
Demonstrable success in generating leads and closing deals specifically through Upwork and LinkedIn. (Please provide examples or metrics of your success in your application.)
Strong understanding of various IT services (e.g., custom software development, web/mobile app development, cloud computing, AI/ML, data analytics, UI/UX design).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and articulate complex technical concepts in an understandable manner.
Exceptional negotiation and persuasion skills.
Self-motivated, proactive, and target-oriented with a strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a plus.
