Health Economics & Reimbursement Consultant

About Us:
We are preparing a reimbursement submission for drugs and medical device and are seeking an experienced consultant to support the development of a Budget Impact Assessment (BIA) and related health economic materials. The submission will be directed to public health payers in North America, and must meet the expectations of regional health authorities.
Role Overview:
You will be responsible for developing a comprehensive Budget Impact Assessment in line with North American health economic guidelines. This includes comparator research, population modeling, pricing strategy inputs, and cost-effectiveness messaging to support payer evaluation of a medical device for potential listing and coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a complete Budget Impact Assessment based on health authority templates and expectations
Identify and assess comparator products currently funded by public or private payers
Model population impact, uptake scenarios, and total cost of ownership
Interpret and integrate clinical and utilization data into economic models
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to validate pricing, manufacturing, and distribution assumptions
Advise on labeling and promotional claims to align with reimbursement and compliance expectations
Prepare and submit reimbursement request for public payer review in North America
Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent experience in Health Economics, Public Health, Pharmacy, or a related field
3–5+ years of experience in HEOR, market access, or reimbursement strategy for medical devices or pharmaceuticals
Strong understanding of North American payer systems, particularly public drug/device benefit plans
Demonstrated ability to build or adapt budget impact or cost-effectiveness models
Proficiency in Excel-based health economic modeling
Excellent communication and technical writing skills
Preferred Experience:
Submissions for drug/device reimbursement or to health technology assessment agencies
Familiarity with health authority guidelines in Canada and/or the U.S. (e.g. CDA, CMS, Medicaid)
Experience preparing materials for multi-stakeholder review (e.g., pharmacy & therapeutics committees, public payers)
Contract Type:
Project-based (estimated 2–4 weeks), with possibility for future support on related submissions.
