We’ve been retained by a leading multi-billion business conglomerate to fulfil its manpower requirement. And currently, we’re scouting for Area Manager- Convenience Stores and Cafes business (QSR vertical) to be based out at its corporate office, Navi Mumbai.

Core Responsibilities:

Job Description

Convenience/Wild Bean Caf (75% of role)

The Marketing Offer Manager is responsible for coordination of the day to day operation of Convenience Stores/Wild Bean Cafes in a particular region. He/ she will also be responsible for the growth and profitability of their portfolio of locations, ensuring compliance to Indian government requirements and the companys food safety requirements related to store/Wild Bean Caf operations
Raise the level of awareness of food safety/risk and quality across the region
Develop regional level strategies to achieve each stores financial, operational, and customer-service goals
Ensure compliance with companys policies, operational guidelines, cash management
Optimizing and overseeing operations to ensure efficiency.
Evaluate performance using key metrics and address issues to improve it.
Inventory Management & Stock Audit, ensuring shrinkage and wastage are controlled.
Resolve customer complaints in particular quality and food safety related issues.
Conduct relevant training across the region.
Interview new potential operators for Wild Bean Cafes
Regularly visit stores to ensure that standards are maintained.
Respond quickly to relevant issues raised by stores.
Marketing & Promotional Campaign implementation including on-boarding of operators/dealers
Store Commissioning: ensure documentation, agreement signing, L2 & L2 audits, manpower recruitment, uniforms etc for setting up new convenience store.

Marketing (7% of role)

Tracking and Reporting of VM (branded vehicles) and comms deployment
Production, mobilization, and deployment of communication material
Coordination with state teams/engineering teams/convertors for closure of open touch points about VM and comms collaterals
Consumer insights for comms refinements
Market scanning and reporting of competition comms, marketing campaigns, and other best practices pertaining to retaining design/innovation.
Internal Events: Identification and onboarding of local event agency, event execution and reporting

Loyalty (5% of role)

Drive Loyalty Programs KPIs for state as per AOP plan
Promote Loyalty programs: BTL activities (at and Outside RO, Convenience, Jio-bp Pulse, Plazas)
Publish daily/ weekly MIS.
Compliance and Operations including Refresher Loyalty related training at ROs via L&D team, Resolution of Issues/Queries (Customer or State queries/ Service requests)
Campaign management including Monthly campaigns, coordination of printing/installing of collateral, operational issues

Other New Value Propositions: The remainder of the role will cover propositions such as Castrol Oil Change etc.

Key challenges faced on the role

New market entry, therefore building and retaining customer loyalty
Ensuring operating standards are met across the region

Any Other Relevant Information (Particular reference to planning (nature and impact), scope of impact (Team, BU, BP globally etc)

Working with training team to ensure staff have skills/knowledge to implement and operate Wild Bean Caf and marketing programs

Experience & Expertise (mandatory & desired):

Experience of food and beverage service in a retail environment
3-5 years experience handling multiple units as an area manager, store manager, or similar managerial role.
Sound understanding of optimization of store operations and standards for success
A sound working knowledge of the Indian Food Law
Proven analytical, problem solving and process ability
Quick Service Restaurant managerial/ operational experience
Knowledge of performance evaluation metrics and principles

Economic dimensions associated with role (if any):

Leading Marketing/Loyalty activities for all mobility stations within a state
Accountable for operations/profitability of approx. 10 convenience stores within a state

HSSE Accountabilities:

Ensures full compliance with all functional and HSSE standards applicable to Wild Bean Cafes, with a focus on food safety.
