Job description
What you’ll do
Roles and Responsibilities:

Plan and manage end-to-end export logistics operations including booking, documentation, customs clearance, and on-time shipment of chemical products.
Ensure strict compliance with DGFT, Customs, IMDG, IATA, REACH, EPA and other international regulations; maintain and renew certifications like AEO, ISO, Status Holder, and Factory Stuffing.
Coordinate hazardous and non-hazardous chemical shipments ensuring correct labelling, packaging, and transport as per safety standards.
Build, manage and evaluate relationships with freight forwarders, CHAs, transporters, warehousing partners, shipping lines, QC labs and insurance providers.
Negotiate and optimize freight rates, transport costs and ancillary charges while maintaining agreed service levels.
Oversee transportation planning, warehouse operations, inventory accuracy and safe handling/storage of cargo including temperature-sensitive or dangerous goods.
Coordinate with quality control labs for inspections, testing, certifications and dispatch of samples in line with international courier regulations.
Serve as single point of contact for customers on shipment status, documentation, complaint resolution and proactive updates.

Skills and Qualifications:

4-7 years of experience in supply chain, operations, or logistics, preferably in cross-border trade, and track record of managing a team
Experience working in a distribution setup
Knowledge of hazardous chemicals logistics is a plus
Strong proficiency with softwares and willingness to learn new technologies
Experience with US-specific freight forwarding, logistics, customs brokerage, and warehousing is preferred
