Job description
What you’ll do
Cortland International is a global manufacturer of synthetic rope and netting. Headquartered in North America, it operates 4 manufacturing facilities in India and 2 manufacturing facilities in USA on distinct ERP platforms, CRMs and IT infrastructures.

Cortland International seeks an experienced head of IT to join its global leadership team to assess, design, guide and implement an IT roadmap to consolidate information, data and systems for global management, reporting and integrated business planning (IBP) purposes.

Job Responsibilities:

Technology Strategy & Architecture

Define the short and long-term technology roadmaps aligned with business goals (e.g. capacity growth, product diversification, cost reduction, quality improvement, sustainability).
Architect solutions for manufacturing, IT, operational technology, automation, robotics, IoT / Industry 4.0 & smart factories.
Ensure that all solution architectures (new plants, upgrades, system replacements) are scalable, maintainable, cost-optimized, and secure.
Lead architecture reviews for major technology, infrastructure, software, and systems integration projects to ensure optimal solutions are implemented and long term tech debt is minimized.
Systems Integration lead and support integrations that enable improved business intelligence and operational efficiency (including the exploration of Business Intelligence and/or Middleware solutions).
Oversee integration of multiple systems: ERP, MES, SCADA, PLC/DCS systems, quality systems, supply chain systems, CRM, etc.
Plan for legacy system modernization, migration paths, and integrating new technologies with existing infrastructure.
Ensure interoperability and standardization across plants / sites / units.
Cybersecurity & Operational Technology Risk:

Develop and enforce a cybersecurity strategy covering both IT and OT environments. This includes network segmentation, endpoint security, monitoring, threat detection, vulnerability management, and patch management.
Oversee incident response readiness, business continuity and disaster recovery planning relevant for manufacturing operations.
Ensure protection of intellectual property, manufacturing process data, designs, etc.
Operational Excellence & Digital Transformation develop and manage digital transformation roadmap. Integrate the roadmap into the annual planning process and collaboratively prioritize cross-functional projects to support its implementation.
Improve efficiency, reduce waste, lower downtime through better visibility (dashboards, real-time monitoring), improvements in equipment reliability and process control.
Leadership & Team Development

Build, mentor, lead cross-disciplinary teams architecture, systems integration, cybersecurity, IT/OT, operations support in India and USA.
Define roles, responsibilities, KPIs, measure performance.
Promote a culture of security awareness, innovation, quality, and process orientation.
Stakeholder, Vendor & Regulatory Management
Liaise with senior management / board on technology investments, risk trade-offs, and return on investment.
Required Technical /Functional Skills:

BE/B.Tech CS/IT
Information security, risk management, IT governance, or related domains, relevant professional certifications
Proven track record of designing, implementing and managing a comprehensive and effective information security program
Knowledge and experience integrating unique ERP/CRM and other systems acquired with acquisitions into one global production, planning and reporting etc. MIS platform.
Required Behavioural Skills:

Global leadership in cross-functional & geographically dispersed teams.
Experience working with US and Indian leadership teams
Excellent communication skills.
