What you’ll do
Manager Export Marketing DI Pipes
Job Purpose
To develop and manage international sales and marketing strategies for Ductile Iron (DI) Pipes, driving export growth, building strong distributor networks, and achieving revenue targets in assigned regions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Sales
Identify and develop new export markets for DI Pipes across Africa, Middle East, Asia, Europe & America.
Manage existing customers, distributors, and agents to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual export sales targets.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with international clients in coordination with the management team.
2. Market Research & Strategy
Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities, market trends, and competitor activities.
Develop and implement country-specific marketing strategies.
Prepare market intelligence reports and present recommendations to senior management.
3. Customer Relationship Management
Maintain strong relationships with EPC contractors, consultants, government departments, and distributors.
Provide technical and commercial support during tendering, bidding, and order execution.
Ensure timely responses to customer inquiries, complaints, and documentation requirements.
4. Export Documentation & Logistics
Coordinate with logistics, finance, and production teams for order execution and on-time delivery.
Oversee export documentation (LCs, shipping, customs, certificates of origin, etc.).
Ensure compliance with export regulations and international trade laws.
5. Marketing & Promotion
Participate in international trade fairs, exhibitions, and business delegations.
Develop promotional materials, digital campaigns, and region-specific marketing collateral.
Represent the company in overseas business meetings and conferences.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of Ductile Iron Pipe products, specifications, and applications.
Excellent understanding of export documentation, incoterms, and international trade laws.
Proven track record in B2B international sales, preferably in industrial or water infrastructure sectors.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to travel extensively overseas.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Metallurgy preferred; MBA in Marketing or International Business desirable.
Experience: 8–12 years of experience in export marketing/sales of industrial products; at least 3–5 years in DI pipes or similar sector (steel pipes, valves, fittings, etc.).
Languages: Fluency in English; additional languages (French/Arabic/Spanish) are an advantage.
