JOB SUMMARY
US Client

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
• Assist in the design and implementation of the strategy, plan and roadmap that builds a world-class payroll function to support Clients strategic growth plan.
• Manage a team that oversees the full life cycle payroll function and ensures timely and accurate bi-weekly payroll processing and post payroll activities. Respond to and address routine, day-to-day payroll and compliance related inquiries providing world-class service.
• Lead and assist with annual activities including audits, compensation reviews, year-end reporting and open enrollment.
• Manage all payroll due diligence, third-party integration activities and payroll vendor relationships.
• Define, design, maintain and enhance payroll and related HR technologies. Serve as a payroll systems subject matter expert leading to a more productive and value driven use of the platform with a focus on improving employee experience.
• Assess and deploy a new payroll system for 2026, as well as introduce new processes and capabilities in partnership with business leaders as new functionality is introduced.
• Serve as the payroll subject matter expert in the due diligence and combination phases supporting Client’s inorganic growth plan.
• Design and implement payroll policies and procedures to support our organization’s growth and development.
• Ensure compliance with company policies/practices and federal, state, and local employment laws, including timely tax filing, registrations, and reporting with federal, state, and local agencies. Keep up to date with changes in employment laws and regulations and ensure compliance with these changes.
• Identify and recommend solutions for process improvement based on trends, best practices, and payroll regulations. Lead process improvements initiatives. Establish and maintain open channels of communication to solicit feedback from employees on payroll engagement-related matters. Act as a liaison between employees and management to ensure that employee concerns are addressed effectively.
• Provide consultation, guidance, and support in all matters related to payroll operations, HR technologies and payroll compliance.
• Develop and analyze appropriate payroll and system metrics, data, SLAs, and trends to meet management information needs.
• Assists with other HR-related duties, projects and initiatives related to the HR lifecycle, HR technology implementations, process improvements, and compliance audits.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, finance or related field
• Seven (7) or more years of progressive experience within Payroll, including experience managing a team
• Proven knowledge of US payroll related compliance requirements and state/local payroll tax reporting
• Three (3) or more years of experience of project management and solution delivery experience
• Solid project management skillset ability to prepare, analyze and lead the planning and delivery of complex tasks and projects.
• Experience with multi-state payroll and system administration
• Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, ability to problem-solve.
• Hands on, detail oriented with a proven track record in process and user experience.
• Self-starter with the ability to work virtually and independently; Strong desire to grow personally and professionally.
• Proven analytical skills, including the ability to transform disparate pieces of information and summarize analysis into understandable, actionable reports, and recommendations.
• Familiarity with MS Office Suite; Strong Excel experience required.
• Experience working effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, diverse, and dynamic environment.
• Professional and a team player, ability to engage on all levels of the organization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Seven (7) or more years of progressive experience within payroll, benefits, and/or Human Resources.
• Experience in a professional services or hyper growth environment strongly preferred.
• CPP, NACPB, SHRM-CP/SCP and/or PHR/SPHR Certifications preferred.
• Experience supporting organizations through acquisitions and integration.
