What you’ll do
Meet the Team
This is an excellent opportunity to bring your talents to the group that develop solutions in Cisco”s routing and cloud technologies for the largest web scalers and service providers of the world. This dynamic team develops and supports communication networks and actively engages with all teams across Cisco to leverage solutions.
You will work with a technical community and interact with some of the most respected guides in networking as you provide critical engineering support for very large-scale customer deployments. As an engineer in this team, you will have the opportunity to not only support some of the world”s largest Web scaler and Service Provider networks. You will also work with Product management, Sales and Marketing teams on pro-active customer engagements covering current technologies. You will actively engage engineering architects and technical domain guides in product development giving to product quality, debuggability and customer technical requirements.

Actively engage, take ownership, and aim to resolution critical customer issues in Ciscos Routing portfolio
Provide guide support and be a critical point of contact for technical and operational issues that require engineering expertise to resolve
Apply analytical skills and profound technical knowledge to understand and resolve product and network problems of high complexity
Provide technical support to Cisco customer-facing teams and customers; provide status updates on the overall deployment projects
Actively engage with Ciscos customer facing teams and travel to customer sites if needed
Efficiently apply lab setups to recreate and solve complex problems in systems due to configuration, software or hardware defects
Uncover systematic problems and drive plans with respective teams for long term solutions providing better customer experience and product/solution stability
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors in STEM with or more shown experience working in network engineering
Demonstrated experience working with protocols (BGP/OSPF/ISIS; EVPN, BFD, IPv4/IPv6; MPLS TE/FRR; L2/L3VPN; RSVP; Multicast (v4/v6)
Experienced with real-time operating systems commonly used in Networking systems like IOS-XR, IOS-XR
Experience with Linux and open-source technologies
Experience with large scale routing and switching architectures
Demonstrated experience fixing networking issues in live customer environments to effectively diagnose and resolve problems
Preferred Qualifications:
CCIE routing or CCIE Service Provider
Familiarity with internal Cisco organization and eco-system (BU, AS, TS, PLM, Operations)
Masters Degree or equivalent experience in STEM
Proven expertise with IOS XR based platform architectures i.e., Cisco 8000, NCS5500 / 5700, ASR9K, NCS540 and NCS560
Practical knowledge and experience with AI concepts and applications
