Supply Chain Engineer:

The organisation is currently working on a significant expansion plan and is seeking a qualified Supply Chain Engineer to assist with sourcing and procurement tasks to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, based on their technical capabilities, customer feed backs, orders executed, post sales services, turn-over, and ability to meet stringent space requirements.
Converting user requirements into RFPs/ tenders, tender floating and evaluating the offers based on competitive bidding.
Finalising the contracts / purchase orders after negotiate contractual terms and conditions, pricing, and post sales services.
Documentation of all the relevant material end-to-end.
Interacting with vendors / suppliers for timely delivery of items as per the specifications and managing any deviations to the contracts.
Conduct regular vendor evaluations and performance reviews to drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, and delivery performance
Coordinate domestic and international logistics for components and subsystrems, from initial supplier transport to delivery at production sites.
Manage the logistics of mission-critical and sensitive components, which may require specific handling, storage, and traceability.
Monitor shipment schedules and track delivery status, coordinating with carriers and freight forwarders to ensure on-time arrival of materials.
Proactively identify and resolve logistics issues, including delivery delays, damage, and customs complications, communicating effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Develop, maintain, and update standardized documentation procedures for sourcing, logistics, and inventory to improve consistency and efficiency.
Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to optimize inventory levels and ensure the right parts are available at the right time to support production.
Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture that emphasizes continuous improvement and adherence to stringent quality standards
Required skills and qualifications

Shall be minimum a graduate from a recognised university (engineering degree is an added advantage)
5-6 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, logistics, budgeting, ideally within the Space, Aerospace & Defence or related sectors.
Supervise and mentor a small team of supply chain specialists, providing guidance on daily tasks, career development, and complex problem-solving.
Strong knowledge of international trade, customs procedures, and export/import regulations and Payments.
Strong understanding of space industry standards, regulations, and quality requirements, including material traceability and supplier audit procedures
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and inventory management tools. Experience with data analysis and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are often desired.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex supply chain challenges under tight deadlines.
Manage all supply chain-related documentation, including purchase orders, quality agreements, shipping manifests, and customs declarations
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and cross-functional team
