What you’ll do
Job Purpose:

To ensure the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of Windows and VMware servers supporting business-critical applications hosted across on-premise data centers and cloud infrastructure. The role involves managing virtualization platforms, system security, backups, and server performance, while driving process automation and compliance with IT security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Windows Server Administration:
Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows Server OS (2016 / 2019 / 2022) and infrastructure roles such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File Server, and LDAP
Manage Active Directory and File Server operations user creation, GPO management, replication monitoring, and quota setup
Maintain server security through CIS Hardening, patch management, and integration with Privileged Identity Management (PIM) systems
Use SCCM/MECM for OS patching, application deployment, and system updates
Administer NAS-based file servers and centralized application whitelisting via Airlock
Participate in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and maintain servers at DR / alternate data centers
Handle service desk tickets related to Windows server issues, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure timely closure
VMware Infrastructure Management:
Install, configure, and troubleshoot VMware ESXi hosts, vCenter servers, and associated virtual components
Manage vSphere environments vMotion, DRS, HA, vSAN, vLCM, and patch deployment
Create and maintain virtual machines, vSwitches, and VLANs; optimize performance and utilization
Coordinate with vendors for hardware issue resolution, AMC renewals, and VMware support contracts (SnS)
Implement and monitor backup, replication, and disaster recovery mechanisms
Ensure VA/PT audit observation closure and compliance with internal and regulatory IT security policies
