Job description
What you’ll do
Key Responsibilities –

A. Sales & Business Growth

Drive zonal sales targets in line with corporate goals for gold, diamond, platinum & various categories.
Lead initiatives for new customer acquisition, loyalty redemption (Senco Gold Schemes), and dormant customer reactivation.
Ensure category-wise profitability and stock rotation based on product lifecycle.
Implement festival campaigns and offer roll-outs relevant to regional preferences and customer sentiments.
B. Retail Standards & Brand Integrity

Ensure adherence to Senco SOPs and uphold store experience standards reflecting the brand’s ethos of trust and craftsmanship.
Conduct regular store audits, visual merchandising checks, and compliance reviews.
Oversee store ambience, staff etiquette, and ensure alignment with the Senco brand identity.
C. Market Development & Design Intelligence

Track competitor activity and customer trends within the zone to drive localized product demand.
Coordinate with design & merchandising teams to suggest region-specific designs based on hyperlocal preferences.
Plan and execute zonal marketing initiatives including BTL activations, local events, and influencer associations.
D. Inventory & Supply Chain

Ensure real-time tracking of fast-moving SKUs and minimize stock-outs or overstock situations.
Liaise with HO for stock planning, inter-store transfers, and optimized replenishment.
E. Human Resources & Team Development

Lead zonal manpower planning including recruitment, training, and engagement of front-end staff and store managers.
Develop a high-performing, customer-centric sales culture in line with Senco’s brand values.
Conduct regular performance reviews, identify training needs, and ensure low attrition across the zone.
Communication & Collaboration –

Stakeholders: Store Managers, Retail Trainers, Merchandising, Marketing, HR, Audit, and Supply Chain Teams.

Subsequently, pursuant to a resolution passed at a meeting of the Board of Directors held on June 27, 2007, and a special resolution of the shareholders at the EGM held on August 8, 2007, the name of the company was changed to Senco Gold Limited, resulting in its conversion into a public limited company. A fresh certificate of incorporation dated August 31, 2007, consequent to the change of name, was issued by the Registrar of Companies, West Bengal. The Company was converted to a public limited company in order to expand its activities in the field of jewellery business.
