What you’ll do
Position: Head Operations & Sales – Airfreight

Department: Air Freight

Experience: 15 years +

Qualification: Graduate

Location: Mumbai

CTC: 30 Lakhs

Joining: Immediate or within one month

Roles & Responsibility:

Strategic Planning

• Develop Strategies: Create and implement strategies to optimize air freight operations and align with organizational goals.

• Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats in the air cargo industry.

• Network Development: Expand and optimize the company’s air freight network to meet customer needs and ensure profitability.

Operations Management

• Oversee Daily Operations: Ensure smooth functioning of air cargo logistics, including scheduling, loading,and unloading.

• Compliance: Ensure all air freight operations comply with international regulations, safety standards, and customs requirements.

• Capacity Management: Optimize cargo space utilization to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Financial Oversight

• Responsible for complete product financial i.e., Revenue, Operating Profits and Cost Control including Cash Flow Management for sustainable product performance and deliverables and the manage the following :

• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets for the air freight department,forecasting costs, and revenues.

• Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining service quality.

Revenue Growth: Drive initiatives to increase profitability through improved service offerings and market penetration.

Customer Relationship Management

• Client Interaction: Build and maintain relationships with key customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.

• Custom Solutions: Develop tailored air freight solutions to meet specific customer requirements.

• Problem Resolution: Address and resolve customer complaints or service issues promptly.

Team Leadership and Development

• Team Management: Lead and manage the air freight team, ensuring they are motivated and aligned with organizational goals.

• Training: Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and expertise.

• Performance Monitoring: Evaluate team and individual performance, providing constructive feedback and implementing improvements.

Technology and Innovation

• Implement Technology: Leverage technology to improve operational efficiency and service delivery (e.g., cargo

tracking, automated systems).

• Digital Transformation: Stay updated with advancements in air freight logistics and implement innovative solutions.

Partnerships and Stakeholder Management

• Carrier Relations: Negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships with airlines and cargo carriers.

• Regulatory Bodies: Liaise with government agencies, customs, and industry bodies to ensure compliance

and foster collaboration.

• Third-Party Providers: Manage relationships with freight forwarders, ground handling agents, and other service providers.

Risk Management

• Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks in air freight operations and develop mitigation strategies.

• Crisis Management: Handle disruptions such as delays, damaged cargo, or regulatory issues effectively.
