Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented General Manager General Trade Sales to lead and drive our FMCG general trade sales operations. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of managing large teams, driving sales growth, building distribution networks, and achieving business objectives in the FMCG sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve business targets in general trade channels.
Lead, mentor, and manage a large sales team (regional managers, area sales managers, and sales officers).
Expand and strengthen distributor/dealer networks to maximize market penetration.
Monitor sales performance, analyze market trends, and implement corrective measures for achieving targets.
Build strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key trade partners.
Drive execution of promotional activities, trade marketing initiatives, and product launches.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance) to ensure smooth sales operations.
Implement systems and processes to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and trade terms.
Regularly report to senior management on sales performance, forecasts, and business insights.
Key Requirements:

Minimum 15 years of experience in sales, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role in FMCG general trade.
Proven expertise in team management, distribution expansion, and revenue growth.
Strong understanding of FMCG sales dynamics, retail landscape, and trade marketing.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Data-driven with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and deliver results in a competitive market.
Educational Qualification:

Graduate in any discipline (MBA/PGDM in Sales & Marketing preferred).
