Senior Project Engineer SK SYSTEMS PRIVATE LIMITED
The candidate should be B.E.(Mechanical) and shall have 1-2 years of experience of Handling Design, Engineering and execution of HVAC Systems preferably in Industrial applications. The candidate should be well versed with various components / parts of HVAC System and their usage including selection, preparation of Data Sheets etc. etc.
Key Responsibilities:
HVAC System Design & Engineering:
Lead the design and engineering of HVAC systems including chilled water, DX (Direct Expansion), VRF/VRV, ventilation, and exhaust systems.
Perform detailed heat load calculations using industry-standard software (e.g., HAP, Carrier E20, Trace).
Conduct duct and pipe sizing, airflow distribution planning, and system layout designs based on ASHRAE, SMACNA, and relevant local codes.
Ensure proper integration of HVAC systems with architectural, electrical, plumbing, and structural components.
Component Knowledge & Equipment Selection:
Demonstrate expert-level understanding of HVAC components such as chillers, AHUs, FCUs, cooling towers, pumps, valves, dampers, air terminals, diffusers, and duct accessories.
Select appropriate equipment based on design criteria, project needs, and manufacturer specifications.
Prepare and review technical data sheets for all HVAC components with accurate performance parameters, dimensions, electrical requirements, and material specifications.
Evaluate and compare multiple equipment proposals and prepare technical bid evaluations (TBE).
Project Management & Coordination:
Lead and manage HVAC-related engineering tasks throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate with internal design teams and external stakeholders (consultants, contractors, and suppliers) to ensure technical accuracy and timely delivery.
Attend project review meetings, design coordination meetings, and technical workshops.
Monitor and ensure project milestones and deliverables are met as per the approved schedule and budget.
Technical Documentation & Reporting:
Develop comprehensive project documentation including HVAC layouts, schematic diagrams, BOQs, specifications, and submittals.
Maintain proper records of equipment selection sheets, correspondence with vendors, RFIs, design changes, and approvals.
Prepare installation method statements, O&M manuals, and testing & commissioning procedures.
Site Support & Execution Oversight:
Provide technical support during installation and commissioning phases.
Review shop drawings, material submittals, and construction quality to ensure compliance with design intent.
Conduct site inspections and resolve technical queries or design conflicts during execution.
Supervise testing, balancing, and commissioning activities and ensure systems meet design performance.
Compliance & Standards:
Ensure all designs and equipment selections conform to applicable international and local standards such as ASHRAE, ASTM, ISHRAE, NFPA, and LEED guidelines.
Promote best practices in energy efficiency, sustainable design, and indoor air quality.
Support efforts to achieve green building certifications if required.
