About Leap

Leap is a non-custodial, inter‑chain “super wallet” with 1M+ installs across extension, mobile, and web platforms. Its product suite includes MetaMask Snap for Cosmos, Compass Wallet for Sei, and Elements SDK. The team is launching a 0→1 APAC‑focused stablecoin payments initiative, tapping into strong market pull and early customer traction.

Responsibilities

Lead backend development for web and mobile applications in the stablecoin stack
Design and scale backend systems for payments and settlements
Build robust infrastructure atop fragmented on/off‑ramp integrations
Define architecture, lead technical discussions, and own system robustness
Mentor and manage a small engineering team across infra + app layers
Ensure security, scalability, and regulatory readiness
Establish engineering best practices and delivery timelines

Requirements

6+ years of backend engineering experience
Strong proficiency in TypeScript / Node.js and API design
Prior exposure to fintech or payments (strongly preferred)
Track record of integrating external APIs across geographies
Leadership experience in scaling early‑stage, ambiguous systems
Startup DNA: takes ownership, ships fast, thrives amid ambiguity
