Job Description :

UST is looking for Manual Tester (Lead I – Software Testing) with below requirements:

Highly skilled Web Manual Tester with 5+ years of experience, including at least 2 years of experience with windows desktop and web-based applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of manual testing techniques, test case execution, and defect tracking. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products by collaborating with cross-functional teams, identifying defects, and validating application functionality across different environments.

Key Responsibilities:

– Perform Smoke, Sanity, Integration, Regression, Functional, UI, Usability, and Exploratory testing to ensure software quality.

– Develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts based on functional and non-functional requirements.

– Identify, document, and track software defects using Azure Dev-Ops, JIRA and collaborate with developers for resolution.

– Ensure test coverage across multiple browsers, devices, and operating systems to enhance software compatibility.

– Work closely with business analysts, developers, and project stakeholders to understand requirements and contribute to overall quality assurance.

– Analyze system requirements and specifications to ensure complete test coverage.

– Basic knowledge of SQL to perform database validation and data integrity checks using SQL queries to verify data flow between systems.

– Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and provide testing updates, ensuring alignment with development teams.

– Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, test reports, and defect reports.

– Good to have – Utilize test management tools such as Zephyr Scale for test case management, execution, and reporting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

– 5+ years of experience in software testing, including 2+ years in testing desktop applications.

– Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies, test case design, and execution techniques.

– Hands-on experience with test management tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA or similar.

– Basic understanding of SQL queries for database testing and data validation.

– Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.

– Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with a detail-oriented approach to testing.

– Strong communication skills with the ability to document defects, test results, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

– Basic understanding of API testing is a plus.
