We are looking for a seasoned Plant Head with strong expertise in cigarette manufacturing and greenfield/brownfield plant setup. The ideal candidate must have led end-to-end plant operations, including GD machine installation, production ramp-up, team building, and regulatory compliance. Preference will be given to candidates from top tobacco companies.

Role & responsibilities

Lead overall plant operations, including production, engineering, maintenance, quality, and HR coordination
Execute greenfield or brownfield plant setup projects, from layout to commissioning
Oversee installation, setup, and optimization of GD machines (Maker & Packer)
Drive production targets, efficiency improvement, and cost optimization
Build and lead a cross-functional team across production, QA, maintenance, logistics
Ensure compliance with Excise, Labour, Environmental, and Tobacco Control norms
Implement lean manufacturing, TPM, 5S, and continuous improvement practices
Coordinate with top management on plant performance, capex planning, and strategic projects
Build SOPs, quality systems, and a strong performance-driven culture

Preferred candidate profile

Must have worked in a senior role in cigarette/tobacco manufacturing
Strong background in GD Machine operations (X2, X6, X8 preferred)
Proven experience in new plant setup and factory commissioning
Exceptional leadership, planning, and cross-functional coordination skills
Capable of scaling operations rapidly in a fast-paced environment

Education:

B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering

Experience Required:

15 to 25 Years Only candidates from Cigarette/Tobacco manufacturing industry
Must have hands-on experience in setting up and leading cigarette plants
Prior experience with GD Maker & Packer machines (X2/X6/X8)
