Site Supervisor – DCE – Diploma in Civil Engineering AKSHAYAM BUILDERS

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor with a Diploma in Civil Engineering (DCE) to oversee the day-to-day operations of our construction site. As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to safety standards, supervising the workforce, and ensuring the project progresses according to plan. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Site Supervision and Management:
Supervise daily construction activities, including setting up work areas, ensuring proper materials are available, and allocating tasks to site workers.

Ensure that all work is carried out according to project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.

Monitor the work of subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety standards, deadlines, and quality control measures.

Inspect the site regularly to ensure that the work is progressing as per the schedule and report any delays or issues to the project manager.

2. Health, Safety, and Compliance:
Enforce strict safety protocols on-site to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Conduct daily safety checks and ensure workers are using proper safety equipment and following safety procedures.

Address and resolve any safety hazards, accidents, or near-misses immediately and report them to the appropriate authorities.

Ensure compliance with building codes, local construction regulations, and environmental standards.

3. Material and Resource Management:
Coordinate the delivery and availability of materials on-site, ensuring that the right quantities are available as per project needs.

Ensure that construction materials are stored properly to prevent damage or loss and follow inventory management procedures.

Monitor resource usage and reduce waste to optimize project costs.

4. Workforce Supervision and Coordination:
Manage, supervise, and lead the on-site workforce (including laborers, technicians, and subcontractors).

Assign tasks and monitor the performance of workers, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to deadlines.

Motivate and guide the team to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any conflicts or issues on-site.

Ensure proper coordination between different teams to avoid delays and ensure smooth operations.

5. Project Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of daily site activities, progress reports, and site logs.

Document any changes in scope or delays and communicate these to the project manager or relevant stakeholders.

Ensure proper documentation of work inspections, approvals, and other relevant project paperwork.

Prepare progress reports and site analysis to share with the management and clients.

6. Quality Control and Assurance:
Ensure the quality of work meets the project requirements, contract specifications, and industry standards.

Perform regular inspections to verify the quality of materials used and workmanship.

Identify potential issues that could affect the quality or timeline of the project and take corrective actions immediately.

7. Client and Stakeholder Communication:

Act as the primary point of contact on-site for the client, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Address any concerns or questions from clients or team members regarding construction work.

Coordinate with the project manager to ensure all client expectations are met.

Skills:
Ability to read construction blueprints and store elevation drawings
Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
