Job Summary

We are hiring Civil Engineers with hands-on experience in substation design (400/220/132 kV) to support the engineering and execution of large-scale renewable and power transmission projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of substation foundations, civil structures, and related standards, along with a proven ability to manage site execution requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Engineering

Design civil foundations and structures for substation equipment such as transformers, oil tanks, cable trenches, firewalls, and control buildings for 400/220/132 kV substations.
Prepare and review civil/structural drawings, including layouts, GA drawings, section views, and foundation details using AutoCAD.
Perform structural analysis and design using STAAD Pro and relevant civil design tools.
Ensure all designs are compliant with IS Codes (IS 456:2000, IS 875, IS 1893) and client/industry standards.
Documentation & BOQ

Maintain accurate documentation for all civil engineering activities and design updates.
Prepare and review Bill of Quantities (BoQ) for switchyard civil works, and ensure cost alignment with actual site conditions.
Generate and manage SAP PRs (Purchase Requisitions) for switchyard-related civil packages.
Project Coordination & Site Support

Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and project management teams to ensure seamless integration of civil and electrical designs.
Provide technical support to site teams during execution phases, including addressing design modifications and reconciliation.
Support in project planning, tracking civil deliverables, and reporting status to internal stakeholders.
Preferred Candidate Profile

Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized institute.
Experience: 8-18 years in civil design and engineering for 400/220 kV substations.
Tools & Software:
AutoCAD for drafting and detailing
STAAD Pro for structural analysis
MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
SAP (for PR management) – preferred
Strong understanding of foundation design, IS codes, substation civil standards, and site construction practices.
Excellent coordination, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.
