Job Title: Financial Reporting & Compliance Manager
Location: Remote (Pune Only)

Reports to: Director of Finance
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Financial Reporting & Compliance Manager to join our growing Finance team. The ideal candidate is a mid-level CPA with a strong background in auditing, financial reporting, payroll, and vendor management. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing internal controls, supporting P&L analysis, and collaborating on key financial strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
Conduct project-level profitability analysis and support budgeting & forecasting
Produce and interpret P&L statements, cost center reports, and variance analyses
Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and accounting standards
Collaborate with external auditors and manage audit preparation and support
Oversee vendor contract reviews, payment cycles, and vendor compliance
Manage and optimize the end-to-end payroll cycle in coordination with HR and third-party providers
Assist with cash flow monitoring, scenario modeling, and support long-term financial planning
Support development of financial strategies and drive continuous improvement in reporting systems and processes
Qualifications:
CPA (California Active) required
Chartered Accountant (CA) designation preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (required)
Minimum 5–8 years of progressive finance or accounting experience, with a strong background in public accounting or audit
Proficient in financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar ERP) and Excel/Google Sheets
Deep understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and compliance practices
Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to explain complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders
Experience in vendor management and payroll administration
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
Preferred Attributes:
Experience in a mid-sized or growth-stage company
Familiarity with project-based or service-based business models
Comfortable working cross-functionally with HR, Legal, and Operations teams
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹1,051,554.14 – ₹1,595,001.27 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
Pune City H.O, Pune, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
