Junior Backend Engineer (NodeJS) – Mumbai

Looking for a Junior Backend Engineer to join EightyDays and help build robust backend services and APIs. Work from our Mumbai (Tardeo) office.

Requirements

1–2 years of experience in backend development with Node.js

Strong knowledge of Node.js and MongoDB

Experience with RESTful APIs and server-side development

Familiarity with Git and version control workflows

Basic understanding of JavaScript asynchronous programming (Promises, async/await)

Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins

Basic understanding of Redis or openness to learn it

Willing to work from the Mumbai (Tardeo) office

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and MongoDB

Build and integrate REST APIs for web and mobile platforms

Work closely with frontend and product teams

Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code

Participate in code reviews and technical discussions

Debug and resolve backend issues
