Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Leak Detection System Engineer to provide advanced engineering support for pipeline leak detection and real-time monitoring systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, tuning, and testing hydraulic and leak detection models, and for developing the associated design, testing, implementation, and support documentation. This role requires deep familiarity with leading industry tools such as Emerson’s Pipeline Manager and DNVGL SPS, along with strong SCADA and process control integration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver advanced leak detection engineering work and support.
Configure, tune, and test hydraulic and leak detection models in real-time environments.
Develop and maintain design, testing, implementation, and support documentation for deployed models.
Utilize and support the following Advanced Leak Detection Software (Pipeline Manager) Modules:
Real-Time Transient Model (RTTM) for leak detection and localization.
Batch/Composition and Interface Tracking.
Scraper Tracking.
Drag Reducing Additive (DRA) Tracking.
Over/Under Pressure Detection.
Alarm Capabilities for Critical Information.
Interface with SCADA systems using industry standard OPC protocols through ESI Mimir application.
Work within a modular and open architecture facilitating easy data interchange via ESI Mimir/ESI OPC Server.
Operate and support the Graphical User Interface (ESI Visual Pipeline) for visualization and diagnostics.
Collaborate with operations, SCADA, control system, and engineering teams to ensure smooth implementation and support.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum, or a related discipline).
Minimum 3 years of experience in the oil and gas pipeline industry.
At least 2 years of hands-on experience working with real-time pipeline applications and leak detection systems, preferably:
Emerson’s Pipeline Manager
DNVGL SPS
Solid understanding of:
SCADA systems, instrumentation, and process control.
Real-time pipeline behavior and RTTM-based leak detection.
Integration using ESI Mimir and OPC standards.
Pipeline alarm management and pressure event detection.
Preferred Skills:

Experience in configuration of leak detection alarms and thresholds.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in live pipeline monitoring environments.
Knowledge of pipeline integrity, false positive mitigation, and alarm suppression techniques.
Ability to independently handle technical deliverables and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
