Network Security L3

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Security L3 Engineer to join our IT security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, configuring, and securing enterprise network infrastructure. This role involves handling escalated incidents, performing root cause analysis, and implementing advanced security solutions to ensure robust protection of network systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain network security devices such as firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point), IDS/IPS, VPNs, and proxy servers.
Handle L3-level escalations related to network threats, breaches, and complex incidents.
Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, and coordinate remediation efforts.
Design, configure, and troubleshoot secure network architectures (LAN/WAN, DMZ, cloud environments).
Monitor network traffic for anomalies and investigate security alerts.
Work with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to analyze logs and identify threats.
Implement security policies, standards, and best practices in accordance with industry compliance (ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, etc.).
Collaborate with internal teams to implement secure configurations and ensure system hardening.
Conduct periodic risk assessments and assist in audits.
Provide mentorship to L1/L2 engineers and create knowledge base documents.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in network security, with at least 2 years in L3 role.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade firewalls and security devices.
Expertise in VPN technologies, SSL/TLS, DNS security, and NAC.
Knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a strong plus.
Industry certifications preferred: CCNP Security, PCNSE, CISSP, CEH, or equivalent.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹65,000.00 – ₹80,000.00 per month
