About FFE

Foundation For Excellence Inc. (FFE), a publicly supported charitable organization based in USA, was established in 1994. Its Indian entity, Foundation For Excellence India Trust (FFEIT) was registered in 2003 as a Public Charitable Trust in India. FFE’s mission is to help economically underprivileged and academically bright students complete their higher education (Engineering and Medical) through a Scholarship Program. The objective is to help these students and their families’ transition from low to middle income level in a single generation. FFE selects top ranking students from national and state level examinations for engineering, technology and medicine whose family incomes are unable to support a higher education.

Roles & Responsibilities

· Job Title: Placement Officer

· Location: Remote working

· Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

The Placement Officer will be responsible for building linkages and connects for FFE with corporates/ recruiters and facilitate the internships and placement of FFE students and graduates in suitable internship/ job opportunities. This role involves liaising with employers, conducting career counseling sessions, organizing recruitment events, and maintaining strong relationships with alumni and industry partners.

Key Responsibilities:

– Develop and maintain relationships with employers to identify job opportunities for students and graduates.

– Conduct employer outreach activities such as meetings, calls, and presentations to promote FFE students.

– Coordinate employer visits, interviews, and on-campus recruitment drives.

– Build on linkages with corporates on conducting sessions on career counselling and guidance to students regarding job search strategies, resume writing, interview skills, and career planning.

– Assist in organising workshops, seminars, and training sessions on various aspects of career development.

– Plan and execute networking events and other recruitment activities.

– Manage logistics for on-campus recruitment events and ensure smooth operation if required.

– Maintain an up-to-date database of FFE student profiles, employer contacts, and job opportunities.

– Track and report on placement statistics, including job offers, acceptance rates, and employment outcomes.

– Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all placement records.

– Build and maintain strong relationships with alumni to leverage their networks for placement opportunities.

– Coordinate alumni involvement in mentorship programs and guest lectures.

– Track alumni career progress and use this information to enhance placement services.

– Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field.

– Proven experience in career services, recruitment, or a related role.

– Strong understanding of the job market and employer expectations.

– Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

– Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

– Proficiency in using career services software and databases.

– Strong presentation and public speaking skills.

– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
