Job description
What you’ll do
Role & responsibilities

Electrical Maintenance & Operations
Oversee preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of all electrical equipment in the wire plant.
Ensure continuous power supply to all sections including drawing machines, annealing furnaces, pickling lines, and utilities.
Manage maintenance of HT/LT panels, transformers, MCCs, VFDs, and control systems.
Team Leadership
Supervise and guide electrical engineers, technicians, and contractors.
Plan shift schedules and ensure skill development of team members.
Project & Energy Management
Plan and execute electrical projects, plant expansions, and upgrades.
Implement energy-saving initiatives and monitor electrical consumption trends.
Coordinate with project teams for new equipment installation and commissioning.
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure adherence to statutory regulations, electrical safety norms, and ISO/RBA standards.
Maintain updated records for load distribution, equipment history, and maintenance schedules.
Vendor & Inventory Management
Monitor procurement and inventory of electrical spares and consumables.
Liaise with vendors for AMC, repairs, and new equipment procurement.
Safety & Reliability
Conduct regular electrical safety audits and risk assessments.
Ensure all safety interlocks, earthing systems, and protection devices are functional.
