What you’ll do
Job Description:
As part of our Statutory Audit team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality audit and assurance services to a portfolio of corporate clients across various industries, in compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform audits of financial statements in accordance with Indian GAAP / IFRS / US GAAP, Companies Act, and other relevant statutory requirements.
Execute end-to-end audit processes, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases.
Understand the clients business, industry, and internal controls to identify potential risk areas.
Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of accounting and internal control systems.
Prepare working papers, documentation, and audit reports in line with the firm’s methodology and quality standards.
Communicate with clients to resolve audit issues and ensure smooth completion of audits within deadlines.
Assist in preparation of financial statements as per applicable reporting framework.
Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior audit staff.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including tax and advisory teams, for comprehensive service delivery.
Keep abreast of new developments in accounting and auditing standards (e.g., Ind AS, ICAI updates, etc.).
Required Qualifications & Skills:
CA-qualified
Strong understanding of accounting standards (Ind AS/IFRS/IGAAP) and audit methodology.
5-12 years of relevant statutory audit experience (for associate to assistant manager roles).
Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and audit tools (e.g., CaseWare, Aura, EMS, etc.).
Good analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines under pressure.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience in auditing large listed companies or MNCs.
Exposure to industries such as banks, NBFC, manufacturing, BFSI, FMCG, IT/ITES, etc.
Working knowledge of new laws, SEBI regulations, or internal financial controls (IFC) is a plus.
