What you’ll do
Job Title: Manager / Sr. Manager Electrical (SMS)

Location: Chaibasa, Jharkhand

Department: Electrical Maintenance (Steel Melting Shop)

Experience: 15+ Years Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or EEE

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical Maintenance Induction Furnace (Electrotherm)

Lead electrical maintenance of Electrotherm Induction Furnaces, Power Panels, and related control systems.
Perform and oversee breakdown, preventive, and predictive maintenance to ensure minimum downtime.
Handle troubleshooting of electrical faults in furnaces, transformers, LT/HT panels, and automation systems.
Steel Melting Shop (SMS) Operations

Support uninterrupted power supply and electrical safety across the SMS.
Coordinate with production and operations teams to ensure furnace availability and uptime.
Optimize electrical load and power utilization within SMS area.
Planning, Monitoring & Compliance

Plan and implement monthly/annual maintenance schedules.
Maintain documentation for equipment history, maintenance logs, energy usage, and safety checks.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory requirements, and internal quality systems (ISO, OHSAS, etc.).
Team Management & Development

Supervise a team of electricians, technicians, and supervisors in SMS electrical maintenance.
Train and develop team members on best maintenance practices, safety protocols, and new technologies.
Safety & Energy Management

Enforce strict compliance with electrical safety standards and PPE usage.
Lead energy efficiency initiatives and minimize electrical losses.
Key Skills & Must-Haves:

Mandatory: Hands-on experience with Electrotherm Induction Furnaces
Strong exposure to SMS / Steel Plant Operations
Expertise in electrical systems: HT/LT panels, transformers, drives, PLCs (basic level)
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and leadership skills
Ability to handle electrical audits and compliance
