Department: Human Resources
Total Work Experience: 5–10 years of experience in HR compliance or labor law advisory, preferably in the insurance or financial services sector
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Law, or Business Administration
As a HR Compliance Manager, you play a critical role in ensuring that the organization adheres to all applicable labor laws, statutory obligations, and internal governance standards. This role serves as a key liaison between the company, regulatory authorities, and external consultants, while also supporting internal risk and disciplinary processes. HR Compliance Manager ensures timely execution of statutory responsibilities and fosters a culture of integrity, accountability, and legal compliance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Statutory Compliance
Ensure timely and accurate payment of statutory dues (e.g., PF, ESIC, Gratuity, Professional Tax) to respective authorities within prescribed deadlines.
Maintain compliance calendars and trackers to monitor due dates and avoid penalties.
Regulatory Correspondence & Closure
Coordinate with external consultants to respond to statutory notices from labor departments, PF/ESIC authorities, and other regulatory bodies.
Drive closure of open notices and ensure proper documentation of resolutions.
Internal Risk Management
Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for HR-related internal risk assessments initiated by the Risk Management Team.
Support audit readiness and provide necessary documentation and clarifications during internal and external audits.
Disciplinary Process Management
Oversee the disciplinary process in accordance with the Company’s Code of Conduct and employment policies.
Participate in domestic enquiries, prepare case documentation, and issue disciplinary letters in consultation with legal and HR teams.
Labour Law Liaison
Liaise with Labour Enforcement Officers and external labour law consultants to address amendments, inspections, and statutory queries.
Ensure proactive compliance with changes in labor legislation and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
Specialized skills & competencies:-
Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and statutory regulations
Excellent documentation and communication skills
Ability to manage sensitive employee relations matters with discretion & strict confidentiality
Experience in handling audits, inspections, and regulatory correspondence
Analytical mindset with attention to detail and risk awareness
Stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
